You have the wrong tcptraceroute. Check /etc/alternatives/tcptraceroute,
it should be link to /usr/bin/tcptraceroute.mt

You need to use the tcptraceroute from the
tcptraceroute(1.5beta7+debian-1) package, _not_ the one from the
traceroute package.

Only the first one uses libnet and thus shows the bug.

Notice the difference in the output:

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/home/oweh > tcptraceroute oweh.org 80
Selected device eth1, address 92.50.93.169, port 39066 for outgoing packets
Tracing the path to oweh.org (81.169.140.245) on TCP port 80 (www), 30
hops max
