Alexander Krogloth discovered that collectd does not report the failure to load plugins when starting up. This might either be caused by mistyped plugin names or by missing dependencies of that plugin. External dependencies of plugins which are disabled by default are recommended by the collectd package and thus might be missing. The user should be notified about that when starting the daemon to prevent unexpected behavior.
