Please change the default to the French Canadian (ca) layout, since it is the layout used by most French Canadians.
This is very similar to #475482, except that French Canadians use French Canadian keyboards more than US English keyboards. In my house, 3 keyboards are French Canadian and 3 are US English. 3 computer labs I checked at Université Laval on 3 use French Canadian keyboards. Normal people use French Canadian keyboards at home. The "standard" thing would suggest that at least the federal government would be switching to these keyboards, but a friend who worked for the Canadian Space Agency last summer denied having seen such keyboards.
