Package: xkb-data Version: 1.3-2 Severity: normal Tags: l10n I have a Russian keyboard layout enable on an en_IE.UTF-8 locale. Here are the lines from /etc/X11/xorg.conf:
Option "XkbRules" "xorg" Option "XkbModel" "pc105" Option "XkbLayout" "ie,ru" Option "XKbOptions" "grp:alt_shift_toggle,grp_led:scroll" All spaces entered in the Russian layout are non-breakable spaces; this is seen in applications like iceweasel and openoffice.org . In the Irish layout spaces are normal. I have found a workaround; adding ",nbsp:none" to the XKbOptions line allows me to work as normal. Filing bug against xkb-data as this is probably a keyboard layout data issue. In particular, I suspect it has to do with the following line in /usr.share.x11.xkb.symbols: key.type[group1]="TWO_LEVEL"; -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26-1-686 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_IE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_IE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
