Package: apt-show-versions Version: 0.14 Severity: normal I use debian testing, and some packages from unstable. Mostly packages not available in testing. From time to time I run 'apt-show-versions -u' in order to check for updates of the packages from unstable. The last weeks, I've noticed that 'apt-show-versions -u' never tells me about updated packages.
For an example: sid:~# apt-show-versions -u sid:~# apt-show-versions -a qprof qprof 0.5.2-4 install ok installed No stable version No testing version qprof 0.5.2-5 unstable ftp.se.debian.org qprof 0.5.2-5 unstable http.us.debian.org qprof/unstable *manually* upgradeable from 0.5.2-4 to 0.5.2-5 sid:~# Why isn't qprof listed when I run 'apt-show-versions -u'??? The work-around is this: sid:~# apt-show-versions | grep upgradeable libdjvulibre-text/unstable *manually* upgradeable from 3.5.20-11 to 3.5.21-1 nvidia-glx-ia32/unstable *manually* upgradeable from 169.09-1 to 173.14.09-5 qprof/unstable *manually* upgradeable from 0.5.2-4 to 0.5.2-5 xlockmore/unstable *manually* upgradeable from 1:5.22-1.2 to 1:5.22-1.4 sid:~# But it would be better if the -u option worked. / Anders -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing'), (51, 'testing-proposed-updates'), (50, 'unstable'), (40, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26.5 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=UTF-8) (ignored: LC_ALL set to sv_SE.UTF8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages apt-show-versions depends on: ii apt 0.7.14+b1 Advanced front-end for dpkg ii libapt-pkg-perl 0.1.22+b1 Perl interface to libapt-pkg ii perl [libstorable-perl] 5.10.0-13 Larry Wall's Practical Extraction apt-show-versions recommends no packages. apt-show-versions suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
