I am currently trying to do that, but I see 2.6.26 requires a new 71.xx version from nvidia. I was trying to do this on my amd64 system, but it would appear 71.xx doesn't come in an amd64 version, only i386. I guess being that old that might make sense, but there are AGP systems with amd64 in them, so it doesn't entirely make sense.
