reassign 308707 ftp.debian.org
retitle 308707 Please remove octave-matcompat
thanks

Reasoning:
octave-matcompat was the predecessor to octave-forge
  octave-matcompat is no longer maintained
whereas octave-forge is alive and well
with sarge released, this package can be removed.

Thanks, Dirk

| Sarge is released, I'm sure this package can now be removed? Please
| reassign this bug to ftp.debian.org if you agree.

Yes, that has been on my todo list. Xgobi and xgobid-doc are already gone.
I just filed bug reports for octave-ci and octave2.0, so we should be in
better shape soon.

Thanks, Dirk
