The current build of mktemp supports templates with a minimum of 1 X. The current coreutils version requires a minimum of 3 X's. If mktemp is built to use libc functions instead of its own private ones, it requires a minimum of 6 X's. Thus there are potential compatibility issues with either of those as a replacement, I suppose. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
