Hi Josselin, I don't have that usb stick anymore (wasn't mine) but I tested it with a vfat formated usb disk right now and I don't see that behaviour here... I don't think the usb stick that time was broken as copying with an xterm worked. No idea what happened / changed since then. But the issue with ext3 formated disks still is the same: $ mount|grep max /dev/dm-0 on /media/maxtor_3sec type ext3 (rw,nosuid,nodev,uhelper=hal) $ touch /media/maxtor_3sec/test $ ls -la /media/maxtor_3sec/ insgesamt 24 drwxrwxrwx 3 root root 4096 31. Aug 02:07 . drwxr-xr-x 6 root root 4096 31. Aug 02:05 .. drwx------ 2 root root 16384 31. Aug 02:02 lost+found -rw-r--r-- 1 mschmitt mschmitt 0 31.
