Package: nullidentd Version: 1.0-4 Severity: normal 1. I make a new OS installation with a minimal set of packages 2. I install nullidentd 3. I run: penne# echo fbloggs | nc -q 1 penne 113 penne.pasta.net [192.168.1.42] 113 (auth) : Connection refused -bash: echo: write error: Broken pipe penne# 4. I see that I have no inetd process running because none has been installed. 5. I install openbsd-inetd and then nullidentd works as expected. 6. I see that nullidentd depends on update-inetd but it does not depend on inetd itself or any of the things that openbsd-inetd provides. Without an inetd installed nullidentd will not work.
