Hi Simon!

Bug #91959 has been fixed upstreams. I like the right ctrl key
as the default for thrusting, but realize that not all keyboards
have such a key (and that it is an unusual key, which might not
always work...).

That's true. For example, on my iBook G4, there is a right-command key and an alternate enter, but no right-ctrl key.

Maybe a dot "." would be a good alternative, since It is almost always located at the bottom-right. And if you have a keypad, It is conveniently placed close to the alternate enter key.

For the few cases where the dot won't be a good candidate (for example, the Dvorak keyboard), the others key will also be badly placed anyway.

If that's not proper for Debian, that will have
to be patched by Debian.

Well, since most people will have a PC keyboard, that would still be better than no default at all.

But fix the real problem here, start by updating from upstream!

Ok, I see. This is basically the same package since Sarge with no updates since the release of Debian Etch.

0.89d contains a little more than just bug fixes, and since Lenny have been frozen, I am not sure if an update would be accepted. Still, the changes seems very minors, 0.89e and 0.89f only fix bugs, and the package would ideally need to be rebuild anyway to fix some minors issues, so maybe It could pass over the freeze.

For reference to myself, here the source code:

ftp://ftp.lysator.liu.se/pub/games/thrust/

If I feel like remaking the package, I may submit a new source package Monday. But before, there is a bug I would like to fix in encfs, which is obviously way more important than the thrust package, so don't wait for me.
