If read correctly, I think the whole description of the fai-client package needs a full rewrite, and so I did that:

Concrete proposal for a new description for fai-client:

Description: Fully Automatic Installation client package
This is the client package for the FAI automatic installation and
 system configuration management suite.
 .
It contains the parts of the software necessary to run the softupdate
functionality on already installed systems, is needed for the
dirinstall functionality and others on a FAI server, and is needed in
 the FAI nfsroot(installed there autonatically).
 .
On a server, you also need the package fai-server.
 .
If you want to manage and customize your system configurations with
FAI, install this package, and read the documentation from the package
 fai-doc.

The cluster stuff from the main text in this bugreport should be corrected in the package description of fai-server, I propose this solution:

Description: Fully Automatic Installation server package
FAI is a non-interactive system to install, customize and manage
Linux operating systems and software configurations on computers as
well as virtual machines and chroot environments,
from small networks to large infrastructures and clusters.
 .
You can take one or more virgin systems, turn on the power, and after a
few minutes, depending on the number of packages, the systems are
installed, and completely configured to your exact needs,
 without any interaction necessary.
 .
This package is needed for setting up a FAI install server for network
installations, for running the dirinstall in a chroot environment, and
 to build installation CD/DVD's.
 .
Docuemntation is available in the package fai-doc, on managed clients,
 the package fai-client is needed.
 .

I also checked the other docs - they seem O.K. to me.
