This occurs if you use an icon pack that doesn't have the proper icon(s)
and doesn't have an Inherits property that includes gnome defined in its
index.theme file. ("Inherits=gnome")The images seem to be apps/gnome-searchtool.png apps/gnome-searchtool-animation.png apps/gnome-searchtool-animation-rest.png The easiest fix is to just update the index.theme of the icon pack you have so that it will fall back on gnome's default icons. It is debatable whether this can be considered a problem with the gnome-search-tool itself.
