Package: yada Version: 0.34 Severity: important Hi,
I've just done QA upload of xfonts-biznet-iso-8859-2 package, which I wanted to upgrade to the newest Debian standards, but with yada the task is rather impossible :( According to Debian Policy, section 11.8.5: 17. Font packages that provide one or more fonts.alias files as described above must invoke update-fonts-alias on each directory into which they installed fonts. This invocation must occur in both the postinst (for all arguments) and postrm (for all arguments except upgrade) scripts. 18. Font packages must invoke update-fonts-dir on each directory into which they installed fonts. This invocation must occur in both the postinst (for all arguments) and postrm (for all arguments except upgrade) scripts. However, yada generates only the postrm script, which calls /usr/bin/X11/mkfontdir and /usr/sbin/update-fonts-alias Moreover the called programs give the following warning when yada-built package is upgraded: warning: absolute path /usr/lib/X11/fonts/75dpi was provided Best Regards, robert -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 APT prefers unstable APT policy: (100, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/pdksh Kernel: Linux 2.6.11 Locale: LANG=pl_PL, LC_CTYPE=pl_PL (charmap=ISO-8859-2) Versions of packages yada depends on: ii dpkg-dev 1.10.28 Package building tools for Debian ii file 4.12-1 Determines file type using "magic" ii patch 2.5.9-2 Apply a diff file to an original ii perl 5.8.4-8 Larry Wall's Practical Extraction -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
