Can you please include backtraces of your crashes? I noticed a similar problem today with gnome-panel, and filed <http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=549092>. Unfortunately, rebuilding librsvg2-2 (with DEB_BUILD_OPTIONS=nostrip) has caused the problem to go away for me.
