Hello, may I second this wish, if it is technically possible to not let ldapscripts depend on slapd, etc?
I want to install the scripts on my desktop where I do not need the slapd to be installed. It is a question of keeping the installation small and also it is a security topic. As more software is installed as more bugs and holes can come in. Especially server software should only be installed where required.
