First and foremost, I'd need to overwrite system files outside of
the packaging system. I've *done* it (see posting on
comp.text.tex), but I'm not happy...

And I couldn't figure out how to make a copy in /usr/local work
correctly; system files still were used. I don't recall exactly
which; I apologize for not solving those log files.

This "bug" (filed under wishlist) is just a request to package up
the bug fixes. Then my later problems can be reported through
this venue as well as (or instead of) comp.text.tex.

However, I still cannot make the bug-fixed htlatex, the latest
memoir, the latest hyperref, and the latest listings work
together. That's on comp.text.tex. It's not appropriate for
the Debian BTS, as I can't use a set of Debian packages to
reproduce the exact problems...

(The packages don't work together in TeXLive 2008, either.)
