Cahya: AFAIK the inotify API of the Linux kernel does not support recursive listening on a directory on its own. The recursive option of iwatch seems to provide just that already. Though AFAICS it would be necessary to add new inotify events on new, just created directories to not miss any further file system actions. Am I right?
