Package: ssmtp Version: 2.62-1 Severity: normal Hi,
/etc/logcheck/ignore.d.server/ssmtp contains the line (excuse wrapping): ^\w{3} [ :0-9]{11} [._[:alnum:]-]+ sSMTP\[[0-9]+\]: Sent mail for .* \([0-9]+ [0-9.]+ Bye\) uid=[0-9]+ username=[\._[:alnum:]-]+ outbytes=[0-9]+$ However, ssmtp on my machines reports "closing connection" instead of "Bye". I have added the line: ^\w{3} [ :0-9]{11} [._[:alnum:]-]+ sSMTP\[[0-9]+\]: Sent mail for .* \([0-9]+ [0-9.]+ closing connection\) uid=[0-9]+ username=[\._[:alnum:]-]+ outbytes=[0-9]+$ to /etc/logcheck/ignore.d.server/local-ssmtp but of course as maintainer you may prefer to do something like: ^\w{3} [ :0-9]{11} [._[:alnum:]-]+ sSMTP\[[0-9]+\]: Sent mail for .* \([0-9]+ [0-9.]+ (Bye|closing connection)\) uid=[0-9]+ username=[\._[:alnum:]-]+ outbytes=[0-9]+$ in the main /etc/logcheck/ignore.d.server/ssmtp. -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.25-2-686 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages ssmtp depends on: ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.5.22 Debian configuration management sy ii libc6 2.7-13 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libgnutls26 2.4.1-1 the GNU TLS library - runtime libr ssmtp recommends no packages. ssmtp suggests no packages. -- debconf information excluded -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
