I am using krdc very often to connect to an intranet computer, which also runs kde and krdb. To tunnel the connection, I use port-forwarding with ssh -L5901:intranet-computer:5900 other.computer krdc connects to :1, so I can work on that computer. Unfortunately I have a wide-screen notebook at home and the remote computer has a standard format. So I use regularly the "scale view" function. Sometimes the connection breaks or I kill the ssh tunnel by accident. Then my screen is still scaled and X11 keeps the same scale after quiting the krdc program. There is no way to switch to unscaled view because the "Connection unexpectedly broken" dialog pops up and after that krdc finishs.
