The patch actually gives me the opposite behaviour - I still cannot use the entire area of the touchscreen and after running ts_calibrate, I can now only use the bottom right corner of the screen (the original values confined the cursor to the top left).
Testing continues (because the "track" of the cursor now appears to be no longer linear).
