That hal does not build on non-Linux ports? Well, there are just 65 packages directly build-depending on libhal, among which xorg-server, gnome basic libs, kdebase, ... > Anyway, HAL is being more or less replaced by policykit and devicekit. So porters will still have to wait, as usual... I wonder how debian will ever have a non-linux port with this kind of approach.
