It would be nice if there was a standard way for users to get write
access to /dev/kvm, without running kvm itself as root.

The typical debian method, I guess would be to create a "kvm" group and
use that group for /dev/kvm.  Then one could give a normal user kvm
access by adding them to the "kvm" group.

I did this manually just to see if it would work:

    $ sudo addgroup kvm
    $ sudo chgrp kvm /dev/kvm
    $ sudo adduser miles kvm

things seemed to work ok after that.
