Bug#284996: sarge installation fails also on a Pentium4 PC

package: installation-reports // partman

at booting from installation cd of sarge-i386 with kernel 2.4 when he 
wants to set the partitioning up, partman freezes at 38 percent and wont 
go on.

if i reboot the cd with the kernel 2.6 and expert mode partman doesn't 
stop and finishes without complaining
