the library in question (libgtkembedmoz.so) isn't in xulrunner-1.9 . I found it in libxul0d, so I installed that, and it fixed the issue. It seems in sid the library is only available in icedove and iceowl, maybe it is obsolete? In that case the eclipse startup script also needs fixing.
