The information for such a paper would have to come from me I guess,
with reviews and additional information being of course welcome. The
question is how this should be published. I'm not too keen on creating
a new stand-alone document, mostly because of the associated overhead
and the question, where the document needs to be put for users to
find it.

I can think of the following alternative places and I'd like to hear
your opinion on whether you consider them appropriate and if you would
have looked in that place for general information about the IPL process:

- man page for zipl or zipl.conf
- "Device Drivers, Features and Commands" book [1]
- Linux on System z developerWorks web page [2]
