Package: acpi Version: 1.1-1 Severity: wishlist I'm currently using acpi to get information about battery status into my window manager's info bar. How good an idea that is, I don't know, but acpi was there, and is quick, and works..
Anyway, the output can have quite a lot of variation, and parsing it seems suboptimal. I'd be very happy if there was a way to specify a format string, to pull out some of the bits of info. So I could do: acpi --format='%battery_num|%status|%percent|%time\n' 0|discharging|74|00:03:46 -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.25-2-686 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages acpi depends on: ii libc6 2.7-12 GNU C Library: Shared libraries acpi recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- see shy jo
