I also get the (code 11) error in testing/unstable, but works in stable. The error seems to come up for anything using direnter or getsize. A quick hack, I was able to extract gentoo binary file from the gentoo_0.11.55-1.1_i386.deb in i386 arch. Copying over the testing version, the error disappears.
