Hi Randy, I've seen indications that the CIFS driver now supports MSDFS resolution via a userspace upcall, using the cifs.spnego helper included in Samba 3.2. As Samba 3.2 is about to be uploaded to unstable, I wonder if you could test this again to see if it works for you? I believe you would have to roll your own kernel image for this; the Debian kernel packages for 2.6.26 will have DFS upcall support enabled, but that's not yet available in the archive (but coming soon).
