After submitting the report, I did a simple and very obvious test: I have downgraded the package from the current version (0.10.99.5~svn-r4998-1) to a previous one (0.10.99.4~svn-r3775-2). After that, the issue went away and the plugin configuration window started to work normally. Then, I have upgraded it back to the current version. The config window started crashing the plugin again. So, it seems clear, that the described issue appears only in the latest version, 0.10.99.5~svn-r4998-1.
