Package: xfce4-sensors-plugin Version: 0.10.99.5~svn-r4998-1 Severity: normal
After the last package upgrade, I can no longer configure the Sensor plugin. If I right-click it and select "Properties", it seems to crash (silently disappears from the panel). This is repeated when I re-add it to the panel and try to open "Properties" again. Removing the plugin configuration file from ~/.config/xfce4/panel/ and restarting the panel does not solve the problem. Additionally, the following message is displayed on adding the plugin (although, as I understand, the issue described here should never lead to a crash on opening the configuration window): ------------ "hddtemp" was not executed correctly, although it is executable. This is most probably due to the disks requiring root privileges to read their temperatures, and "hddtemp" not being setuid root. An easy but dirty solution is to run "chmod u+s /usr/sbin/hddtemp" as root user and restart this plugin or its panel. Calling "/usr/sbin/hddtemp -n -q /dev/sda" gave the following error: /dev/sda: open: Permission denied with a return value of 256. ------------ --- System information. --- Architecture: amd64 Kernel: Linux 2.6.25-1-amd64 Debian Release: lenny/sid 500 testing apt-proxy.i --- Package information. --- Depends (Version) | Installed ======================================-+-=============== libatk1.0-0 (>= 1.20.0) | 1.22.0-1 libc6 (>= 2.7-1) | 2.7-10 libcairo2 (>= 1.2.4) | 1.6.4-1+b1 libfontconfig1 (>= 2.4.0) | 2.5.0-2 libfreetype6 (>= 2.3.5) | 2.3.5-1+b1 libglib2.0-0 (>= 2.16.0) | 2.16.3-2 libgtk2.0-0 (>= 2.12.0) | 2.12.9-3 libpango1.0-0 (>= 1.20.3) | 1.20.3-2 libpixman-1-0 | 0.10.0-2 libpng12-0 (>= 1.2.13-4) | 1.2.27-1 libsensors4 (>= 1:3.0.0-1) | 1:3.0.2-1 libx11-6 | 2:1.1.4-2 libxcb-render-util0 | 0.2+git36-1 libxcb-render0 | 1.1-1.1 libxcb1 | 1.1-1.1 libxfce4util4 (>= 4.4.2) | 4.4.2-2 libxfcegui4-4 (>= 4.4.2) | 4.4.2-4 libxrender1 | 1:0.9.4-2 xfce4-panel (>= 4.4.2) | 4.4.2-6 zlib1g (>= 1:1.1.4) | 1:1.2.3.3.dfsg-12 -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
