I'm wondering if it would be possible to do this a different way. Due to my current work I am dealing with multiple versions of java on my system and need a 1.4 jdk/jre on my system. In my case the versions (both sun's and ibm's) of these that I'm using are built with make-jpkg but they have provides for "jre1.4" which is causing the conflict. I don't use the java plugin from these as for that I'm using the sun-java6-plugin (which I think is in non-free). Is there another method of stopping xulrunner from using the broken jre1.4 other than a package conflict with it?
