I'm surprised it ever displayed on KDE's root window :) My understanding is that KDE does an overlay over the actual root window, and root tail is working, but it's painting the real root window underneath of that. I am surprised that it doesn't work in IceWM and FVW any more, however. I will investigate and get back to you. > Here /dev/xconsole is a fifo to which syslog keeps logging. Here is as appropriate as any - it would be great if it would work properly with the 'virtual root' overlay that GNOME and KDE use. Nothing has changed in root-tail in months, however. -- ----------------------------------------------------------------- | ,''`.
