Many operating systems advertise what architectures, processors, and memory they support. Debian seems to do a good job advertising the different archs/cpus, but the only place RAM is mentioned seems to be in kernel package descriptions. For anyone picking a server operating system this is a significant piece of information. -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.25-2-686 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
