Do you have NumLock switched on or off and does changing its state by pressing the NumLock key change the behavior? (I don't have numpad or NumLock on my keyboard, so I can't try it myself.)
(Generally speaking, see the upstream bug for further suggestions -- but I think it is NumLock.)
