Anacron currently recommends an MTA. This is more problematic now that
recommends are being pulled in by default; I don't believe that anacron
should cause an mta to be pulled in by default when one otherwise is not
installed, and in fact anacron does better without one than many other
packages (e.g., cron itself, which will cause jobs to die prematurely
because it has nowhere to send the output). Users should not have to
configure an MTA just for anacron.

The attached patch downgrades anacron's Recommends: on m-t-a to a Suggests:.
It has already been applied in Ubuntu for the upcoming intrepid release, and
I believe it should be applied for Debian as well.

Cheers,
