Hi Ricardo, I have actually stopped using claws-mail and reverted to Sylpheed, because I just could not live with this bug. I just set up a little test bed, and unison and claws-mail 3.5.0 still do not play well, same behavior: read/unread and color state of e-mails is lost after synchronization. Not sure I mentioned before, but when I first bring up claws-mail after a sync, the number of read/unread e-mails in a folder actually seems to be correct in the folder list at the left. After I click on a folder, all e-mails inside become "unread". As for preservation of modification times, below is a partial dir sorted by size of the two inbox directories right after a sync, generated by "ls -alcS". Hopefully that gives Paul the info he needs. It would seem time stamps are not the same.
