This package provides PHP PEAR AUTH wrapper-classes for the RADIUS PECL. There are different Classes for the different authentication methods. If you are using CHAP-MD5 or MS-CHAP you need also the Crypt_CHAP package. If you are using MS-CHAP you need also the mhash and mcrypt extension. php-auth provides Auth/Container/RADIUS.php for RADIUS authentication support. However, Auth/Container/RADIUS.php requires Auth/RADIUS.php, which is not included in php-auth. There is an extra pear package Auth_RADIUS which does the job for pear. Therefore, we suggest to create a new package php-auth-radius from PEAR Auth_RADIUS, basically consisting of Auth/RADIUS.php and a dependency to php5-radius.
