Package: stardict-gtk Version: 3.0.1-3 Severity: normal Hi,
here is what happens a lot to me: I have stardict always running, and often(after reboots or after I kill X, I am not sure), stardict reports: "empty config file". How come? It just loses the config! The file is indeed empty. Another thing -- after stardict realizes that the config is empty, it wont start! Why? I delete the whole ~/.stardic directory and then it starts happily, so weird. Anyway, my workaround was -- change the ownership of stardict.cfg to root and change permissions too so that the stupid program wont be able to destroy the config anymore ;) best, Vlad -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.25.10 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages stardict-gtk depends on: ii libatk1.0-0 1.22.0-1 The ATK accessibility toolkit ii libc6 2.7-12 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libcairo2 1.6.4-6 The Cairo 2D vector graphics libra ii libgcc1 1:4.3.1-2 GCC support library ii libglib2.0-0 2.16.3-2 The GLib library of C routines ii libgtk2.0-0 2.12.10-2 The GTK+ graphical user interface ii libice6 2:1.0.4-1 X11 Inter-Client Exchange library ii libpango1.0-0 1.20.3-2 Layout and rendering of internatio ii libsigc++-2.0-0c2a 2.0.18-2 type-safe Signal Framework for C++ ii libsm6 2:1.0.3-2 X11 Session Management library ii libstdc++6 4.3.1-2 The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 ii libx11-6 2:1.1.4-2 X11 client-side library ii stardict-common 3.0.1-3 International dictionary - data fi ii zlib1g 1:1.2.3.3.dfsg-12 compression library - runtime Versions of packages stardict-gtk recommends: pn stardict-plugin <none> (no description available) pn stardict-plugin-espeak <none> (no description available) pn stardict-plugin-festival <none> (no description available) -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
