Hello, I think I have found the solution to the problem. We need to tell the initramfs to include the driver for SCSI removal able device and all is fine.
The file is /etc/initramfs/modules. Although it may not be a bad idea to include the "sr" driver in the bootcd-mkinitramfs package.
