I fetch the source and it looks like it is already part of it on extras section. python-kde3 maintainers seem to enabled it but since it is problematic they've had removed it. Please look at the changelog at http://packages.debian.org/changelogs/pool/main/p/python-kde3/current/changelog I think it shouldn't be really noisy upload, look at the launchpad bug 153943, "Gdebi-kde uses massive amounts of memory!", (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gdebi/+bug/153943), gdebi-kde doesn't work well even if it works.
