There are several upstream bugs about this. 361793 is about feedback, and using the slider to show this. 524771 is about seeking in streaming videos (seems to be GStreamer specific), the bug mentions Flash videos specifically, but from a duplicate bug it seems to also be about streaming in general. 434027 is also about seeking problems in streaming videos.
