Package: python-gtk2 Version: 2.12.1-6 Severity: important
I am unable to run several programs, for example gramps and skysentials.py, because of the following error: $ Traceback (most recent call last): File "./skysentials.py", line 6, in <module> import gtk File "/var/lib/python-support/python2.5/gtk-2.0/gtk/__init__.py", line 48, in <module> from gtk import _gtk ImportError: dynamic module does not define init function (initgtk) I have tried to upgrade, re-install. Perhaps it is a python setup problem? But the _gtk.so shared object does not contain the initgtk string in it either. -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers oldstable APT policy: (500, 'oldstable'), (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.25.10 (SMP w/2 CPU cores; PREEMPT) Locale: LANG=en_US, LC_CTYPE=en_US (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) (ignored: LC_ALL set to C) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages python-gtk2 depends on: ii libatk1.0-0 1.22.0-1 The ATK accessibility toolkit ii libc6 2.7-12 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libcairo2 1.6.4-6 The Cairo 2D vector graphics libra ii libglib2.0-0 2.16.4-1 The GLib library of C routines ii libgtk2.0-0 2.12.10-2 The GTK+ graphical user interface ii libpango1.0-0 1.20.4-1 Layout and rendering of internatio ii python 2.5.2-1 An interactive high-level object-o ii python-cairo [python2.5-cairo 1.4.12-1.1 Python bindings for the Cairo vect ii python-gobject [python2.5-gob 2.14.2-1 Python bindings for the GObject li ii python-numeric [python2.5-num 24.2-9 Numerical (matrix-oriented) Mathem ii python-support 0.8.4 automated rebuilding support for P pn python2.4-cairo <none> (no description available) pn python2.4-gobject <none> (no description available) pn python2.4-numeric <none> (no description available) ii python2.5 2.5.2-7 An interactive high-level object-o python-gtk2 recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
