Hi,

I've been going through old e2fsprogs, and I came across this one.
Given that the shared library is properly accepted as an ELF shared
library on a non-UML x86_64 system, I can't possibly see how this would
be a bug in e2fsprogs that UML isn't accepted it as a ELF shared
library. A shared library is a shared library....

One thing which crosses my mind is that perhaps you were running the
32-bit version of the ldconfig in your UML image, and it barfed on
dealing with a 64-bit shared libary?

In any case, unless there is anything more to add, I plan to close this
bug as there doesn't seem to be anything actionable I can do with it.

Regards,

                                        - Ted
