I've just released e2fsprogs 1.41-WIP-0707, which is currently in the
upload queue for experimental, and it should have this bug fixed.

It's stalled in the NEW queue for now because it has some new dbg
packages, but you could manually grab them out if you're in a big
rush.  Hopefully with the new ftp assistants this will get turned
around fairly quickly.  This will probably the last pre-release
candidate before I release e2fsprogs 1.41, at which point it will be
entering the unstable and testing distributions.

Well, the simplest way for now would be: "cp /dev/null /etc/blkid.tab;
chattr +i /etc/blkid.tab".
