Hi Mark: Thanks for your reply. Not knowing in detail the problem may lead to confusion, this is clear. Surely I'm not sure about the best solution to this if any is feasible. I think there are 2 options, either provide an alternative and simple way of checking validity of partially downloaded package or marking this as won't fix since this case is out of apt-cacher design scope.
