You've already filed this as a bug - I asked you for more information and you havn't replied. Please run these commands on your system, and show me the output, as I requested: gaim -v which gaim df -h dpkg -L gaim-data ls -laR /usr/share/pixmaps/gaim Finally, try running gaim with "gaim -n -d" which will just show the login window, providing lots of debugging output, and paste that in an e-mail too.
