Hi, this is caused by a SCSI host that doesn't seem to support min_power policy:
$ echo "min_power" > /sys/class/scsi_host/host2/link_power_management_policy $ cat /sys/class/scsi_host/host2/link_power_management_policy max_performance The /sys/class/scsi_host/host2/device symlink points to pci0000:00/0000:00:1f.2. In lspci, this device is shown: 00:1f.2 SATA controller: Intel Corporation 82801HBM/HEM (ICH8M/ICH8M-E) SATA AHCI Controller (rev 03) (prog-if 01) In dmesg, this info is shown about the SATA setup: scsi0 : ahci scsi1 : ahci scsi2 : ahci ata1: SATA max UDMA/133 abar [EMAIL PROTECTED] port 0xf8426100 irq 221 ata2: DUMMY ata3: SATA max UDMA/133 abar [EMAIL PROTECTED] port 0xf8426200 irq 221 ata1: SATA link up 1.5 Gbps (SStatus 113 SControl 300) ata1.00: ATA-8: HITACHI HTS542512K9SA00, BB2ZC3HP, max UDMA/133 ata1.00: 234441648 sectors, multi 16: LBA48 NCQ (depth 31/32) ata1.00: configured for UDMA/133 ata3: SATA link down (SStatus 0 SControl 300) This is on a Thinkpad X61s with SATA set to AHCI mode.
