LDAP based samba setups, including nss based user name and group mappings, are well documented: http://us6.samba.org/samba/docs/man/Samba-Guide/unixclients.html#sdcsdmldap About "bound to break stuff"... many people use LDAP based samba setups based on the above guide, if it did break stuff, i guess we would have heard by now. Also, i thought ibnss-ldapd was a drop in replacement for ibnss-ldap, this test obviously breaks compatibility. At the very least, could the fact that it doesn't work with ldap setups based on the Samba-Guide be documented somewhere? Andreas
