Hello, i was able to reproduce the problem, here what i done and what i did not think about :
as you requested, i used v4l2-ctl to probe my dvb devices and had no error. last week, bored of not understanding what's happening, i upgraded libhal, libhal-storage without problem so.. i next replaced hal 0.5.10 files by 0.5.11 binary by binary, dir by dir, and made a check to see if everything work. The problem occurred, as you told me, when probe-video4linux is called. I next restored 0.5.10 hal files. i did not understand until i looked at the source code, as i have no knowledge of dbus or hal and have a quite low knowledge in programming so.... But looking at the code, i remembered that cx88 (hvr 1300) dvb device claims to have dvb-analog tuner and provides two devices and not one : dvb and radio ! so i requested radio capabilities with v4l2-ctl -D and reproduced the bug without upgrading hal. i did not think about this when i reported the bug, because i know that radio does not work. Calling capabilities on this tuner, which is not a video device, did not come to my mind. I next thought to ask you for closing the bug as it comes from the driver, but the problem will occur again because v4l devices included in kernels are not every time fully functional but enough to be usable. So how to completely solve the problem ? i don't know. best regards, Alain Cabiran -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
